When people hear the term “pawn shop,” the notion of financial desperation often comes to mind. But what if we told you that pawn loans are often part of a smart financial strategy? At Texas Cash Pawn, we've built relationships with countless customers who use our services not just to get by but to thrive.
Texas Cash Pawn uses advanced tools and market knowledge to provide accurate valuations. We understand that pawning an item is personal, and we treat every customer with the respect they deserve. Our loans are all "non-recourse" loans, meaning that if you decide to not redeem your item, we WILL NOT report this to credit agencies. Your credit score will not be affected.
1. Bring in your item(s). In minutes, a friendly Texas Cash Pawn associate will appraise your item(s) and discuss the value and loan terms with you.
2. Show us your valid photo ID. We accept state-issued drivers license or ID card, passport, military ID, certificate of ID from the Mexican Consulate, or ID issued by the U.S. agency governing citizenship and immigration.
3. Answer a few questions while we file your information.
4. In 15 minutes or less, depending on your item(s) and quantity, you will have the cash you need.
1. Come in at any time before the payment is due to pay off the loan and pick up your item(s).
2. If you need more time, just come in by the due date each month and make a minimum payment. You may repeat this process until you are ready to pay off your loan.
1. NO CREDIT CHECK OR BANK ACCOUNT NEEDED. Unlike bank loans or payday advances, you don't need a credit check or a bank account. Your valuables are the collateral for your cash loan. If you default, it will not affect your future credit.
2. YOU STILL OWN YOUR ITEM(S) while they are in pawn, as long as you keep making payments.
3. YOUR ITEMS REMAIN SAFE in a secure area of our store until your loan balance is paid off.
4. YOUR LOAN IS MAXIMIZED because it is based on the current value and condition of your item(s) rather than some blind, arbitrary "book value."
We base pawn loan amounts on the value of your item. Our expert associates are experienced in appraising the value, based on its current condition and market value. We use all the computerized research tools available to the pawning industry to determine the value of your item and pay you the money you need. The appraisal process can be as quick as 10 minutes. The time will vary depending on the type of items, for example, jewelry is evaluated differently than a DVD player. And if you have multiple items, this too will take longer. Texas Cash Pawn ensures our loan values are in line with the general marketplace for pre-owned merchandise.
Your items, along with the parts and accessories, are safely stored in a secure area of our store until your loan balance is paid in full.
Yes, you still own your items while they are in pawn, as long as you keep making payments on time.
Yes, we make every attempt to call you prior to your payment coming due. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU NOTIFY US IF YOUR PHONE NUMBER CHANGES.
The majority of our customers choose to repay their pawn loans and pick up their merchandise. If a customer chooses to not repay the loan, their items will be forfeited and put on the sales floor. If you forget about your loan and we still have it in our possession we will do our best to help you get the item back.
If you are unable to pay back your loan in full by its due date, you may choose to get an extension on your loan. With an extension, you will be required to pay a portion of what you owe, then you will be extended for an additional 30 days from the original loan date. Your Texas Cash Pawn loan may be extended as many times as you need it extended and we will continue to hold your valuables with the same care as if they were our own.
If you are unable to pay back your loan in full by its due date, this might be an option for you. With a renewal, you pay in full the interest that has accrued on your loan, and a new loan is written. The principal loan amount and interest remain the same, but the due date is reset for the full loan term of 60 days.
No, your credit is never affected by a pawn loan with Texas Cash Pawn. If you cannot repay or do not wish to repay your loan, it will be forfeited after the term has expired. If you do forfeit your loan, we will simply place your item out for sale; nothing is ever reported to a credit agency.
Yes, you may continue to bring in other merchandise for additional loans; at Texas Cash Pawn you incur no penalties for forfeiting an item.
